Today we learn from the Lancashire Telegraph that "A
SERIOUSLY slimmed-down council for Burnley is on the horizon once cuts
worth £3m come into play, town hall bosses have warned." - "£3m, must be
trimmed from the council’s budget over the next two to three years".
This is a council with an annual spend of £56m a year. Does that sound
like a "SERIOUSLY slimmed-down council" to you? I think perhaps
Burnley Council has a dictionary malfunction.
